The National PTA Reflections Program is an art recognition and achievement program for students. It provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education. The Reflections Program was established in 1969 by National PTA board member Mary Lou Anderson. Since that time, more than 10 million students have participated in the program. The program's longevity and participation figures attest to its strength. The excitement and enthusiasm that the program generates for children, parents, schools and communities is unmatched. Students who placed first in NH will be invited to the Reflections Luncheon on November 13, 2010, during the NH PTA Convention at the Nashua Radisson.
Please visit the PTA's National Reflections website for list of national winners and for more info. Click here for national press release.
PTA announces Reflections Theme 2010-2011: "Together We Can". The deadline for state entries will be January 24, 2011. The State Exhibit is scheduled for March 14, 2011 at Gilbert H. Hood Middle School in Derry.
Currently only one third of NH PTAs participate in Reflections and we would like to increase this number. If your PTA would like information or guidance in starting a Reflections Program, please contact NH Reflections Chair, Sally Bertrand.

National PTA is looking for a theme for the 2012-2013 Reflections Program year. Each Reflections Program year, students create works of art inspired by a specific theme. That theme is selected from hundreds of ideas submitted by students by the PTA Reflections Program Theme Search. The student who submits the winning entry will receive $100, and his or her theme will be presented at the 2011 National PTA Convention. Repeat themes will not be considered. Click for more info and entry form.
