Convention Theme Search: Convention Planning Committee invites you to join the search. We are in search for the most creative, fun convention theme for the 99th Annual New Hampshire PTA Convention.
To enter just submit your theme idea along with as many supporting ideas as possible to carry out your theme. Final decision will be left to the committee and the winner will be awarded one free NH PTA 2012 Convention registration.
Deadline is January 18, 2012.

WILDLIFE ACTION GRANTS AVAILABLE: Teachers and community members interested in involving
youth to make a difference for wildlife through habitat projects on
schoolyards, public areas or community lands can apply to the Homes for
Wildlife Action Grant Program for start-up funds. This New Hampshire Fish
and Game Department program provides mini-grants of $300-$600. Habitat
projects create spaces for outdoor learning, and can range from a butterfly
garden to shrubs for birds to a pond for amphibians - your imagination is
the limit.

$2,000 Award: National PTA is now accepting applications for the Phoebe Apperson Hearst Award for Innovation in Family Engagement. The Hearst Award recognizes and celebrates achievement in building effective family-school partnerships. The recipient of the Hearst Award will receive $2,000 and will be recognized at the 116th Annual National PTA Convention and Exhibition, June 21-24, 2012 in San Jose, California. Click for more info.

State Dues Increase: The NHPTA Board of Directors proposes an increase of state dues from $1.50 to $2.00 effective July 1, 2012. The NHPTA has not increased their dues in three years, though costs have risen dramatically. The increase of $.50 will enable NH PTA to continue to support the Reflections program, our State Convention, and provide the many resources available to our members that affect the education, health and welfare of children. PTA is the only association that advocates for all children.
